Repair
To inquire about a repair, please use this form and input the requested information. We also provide complete diagnostic services with every repair, so do not worry if you are unsure as to the nature of your problem. We’ll evaluate at no charge.
Our repair facility services and repairs all the most popular broadcast tactical fiber cable configurations. From single and multi-mode 12 or 24 strand TACs terminated into ST connectors, to 4 channel expanded beam systems, chances are that if you use optical fiber in the entertainment, news gathering, or the event staging and planning industries, we can help you keep your tactical fiber complement ready, available, and in top condition at reasonable rates.
As we approach our third decade working with these fragile, yet surprisingly durable strands of glass, our repair network’s technicians have seen everything that can happen to tactical fiber assemblies. Their trained eyes examine every element of a TAC system including the condition of the glass in-between the connectors. Our “no detail is too small” philosophy means everything from the heat shrink covering the breakout joint, to the spring and locking ring in an ST-connector’s locking mechanism are considered for repair recommendations.
At times, we learn there is more wrong with a fiber strand than what is obvious. Usually, when this happens, things turn out well anyway; but sometimes a single channel in the middle or end of a TAC can’t be saved. In those circumstances, we will advise and work with you on a way forward that makes sense for you before any work begins. On our end, quality assurance is taken very seriously, because we want you to be confident in your equipment.
